Introducing the Nokia 7.1 in Qatar

Nokia 7.1 At a glance

The Nokia 7.1 listing on Amazon shows a price tag of Euro 354.87 (roughly Rs. 30,000) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage variant.

A vertical dual camera setup resides on the back panel of Nokia 3.1 Plus. Now, HMD Global has released a new teaser ahead of the event, indicating that the Nokia 7.1 Plus may sport a large display and big battery as well.

HMD Global has provided 16GB and 32GB on-board storage options on the Nokia 3.1 Plus that both are expandable via microSD card up to 400GB.

Initially, the 7.1 Plus teaser was uploaded on Nokia Mobile India's Twitter account but it has been taken down.

On the hardware front, the Nokia 3.1 Plus is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor that comes with a max frequency of 2.0GHz.

"The Nokia 3.1 Plus is designed for India and is coming first to India".

Featuring a tall display, this Finnish company fits it in a compact form factor. Your Nokia 7 Plus will predict and recommend your next action at the moment it's needed the most - whether it's business, music or lifestyle. The top is loaded with a 3.5mm audio jack, while the base, there is a micro USB port, which is flanked between two speaker grilles. The model featuring 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage will be made available, but its pricing is yet to be revealed.

With all of these in mind, we simply don't see why the Nokia 7.1 can't be that budget Pixel 3 XL but with a different name. The back does look nice but it is also a fingerprint magnet that attracts a lot of smudges while you're handling the phone.

The primary shooter is a 16MP sensor, and the front-facing shooter is an 8MP sensor.

In our initial testing, we found out the camera gives decent performance in broad daylight, though it takes some noticeable time in the post-processing, especially, when you apply bokeh effect.

The Nokia 3.1 Plus is priced at Rs. 11,499. Advances in machine learning and AI features, such as Adaptive Battery and App Actions, ensure smarter resourcing of power and processing and accelerate smartphone functionality. The smartphone could pack a 3,400mAh battery.
