Soon-Yi Previn says abuse claims against husband Woody Allen are 'unjust'

She said Mia Farrow had a tendency of "playing favorites" among the children and "showing her power" by slapping and spanking Previn or calling her "stupid" and "moronic".

Soon-Yi Previn was adopted from a South Korean orphanage at six years old in 1977 by Mia Farrow and André Previn, who were married at the time.

Woody Allen's wife has broken decades of silence on the sexual abuse allegations against him.

Soon-Yi Previn, Woody Allen's wife of 20 years and Mia Farrow's adoptive daughter, has broken her silence in a lengthy and explosive interview with NY magazine.

"What's happened to Woody is so upsetting, so unjust", she said in the profile, published on Monday.

In August of 1992, Mia Farrow accused Allen of sexually assaulting Dylan O'Sullivan Farrow, their adopted daughter, in a crawl space of Mia Farrow's CT home. But there are allegations of a controlling mother, who was hellbent on revenge when her boyfriend turned away from her, and to her young adopted daughter.

He shared: "I am a pariah". "People think that I was Soon-Yi's father, that I raped and married my underaged, ret**ded daughter". In a statement in January after Dylan's allegations resurfaced, Allen reiterated his denial and accused her and her family of using the Time's Up movement "to repeat this discredited allegation".

In another statement via Twitter, journalist and Mia Farrow's son Ronan Farrow - who has reported extensively on the #MeToo movement and sexual abuse in the entertainment industry - said he owed everything to his mother. Among other stories, Soon-Yi recalls Mia allegedly throwing wooden alphabet blocks at her when she didn't learn English quickly enough, and allegedly telling her she'd send her to an insane asylum. "Because she thought - or she read it, God knows where she came up with the notion - that blood going to my head would make me smarter or something".

"The author even suggested that my mother bribed me to lie with a doll that was not manufactured until years later", she added.

She went on to say Farrow played favourites among her 10 children, taking preference to those with blond hair and blue eyes.

"Of course, she slapped me, you know the way of things", Previn claimed. "She didn't contain the situation; she just spread it like wildfire".

She said: "Woody wasn't interested in meeting us children".

"We didn't think of him as a father", Previn, 47, insisted, describing a close friendship developed after the pair began attending basketball games together. I admit it's offbeat, but let's not get hysterical.

However, the piece, published by New York Magazine, has been widely criticised, and has been refuted by Previn's siblings, including Allen's children Dylan and Ronan Farrow. She claims she was kicked out of the house at 21 years old after Farrow found nude photos of her that Allen had taken.

"As a brother and a son, I'm angry that NY magazine would participate in this kind of hit job, written by a longtime admirer and friend of Woody Allen's".

Previn criticised her adoptive mother's parenting skills, describing her as not "maternal from the get-go" and a "total breakdown of your spirit".

The interview, it's worth noting, was conducted by Daphne Merkin, a friend of Allen's for over 40 years.

Dylan's brother Ronan Farrow also condemned NY Mag for the "hit job" against his mother, riding the publication for refusing to "include eyewitness testimony that would contradict falsehoods in this piece".

The famed filmmaker addressed the speculation that the son he shares with ex-partner Mia Farrow is actually Frank Sinatra's love child.
