Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tour of New Zealand confirmed

The couple have been busy carrying out royal engagements across the United Kingdom since they got engaged last November, and travelled to Dublin earlier in the summer.

Harry and Meghan will arrive in New Zealand after attending the Invictus Games in Sydney and visits to Fiji and Tonga.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to visit some of the world's most attractive beaches during their royal tour in October.

They will then head to Wellington, Abel Tasman National Park, Auckland and Rotorua in New Zealand.

Harry and Meghan will return to Sydney briefly on October 26, before spending their last four days of the trip in New Zealand.

"[Meghan and Harry] wanted to hit the ground running after their marriage to focus on their charitable interests and Meghan is really looking forward to representing Her Majesty on her first major Commonwealth tour to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand", the source said.

Such projects they will focus on while overseas are most likely the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy projects, and the Invictus Games - set to happen in Sydney later this year.

A source told Stuff earlier in 2018 that they planned to cross the ditch for a royal tour of Aotearoa on about October 28.

Both Meghan and Harry have been open about their desire to start a family - and that they don't want to wait too long to do so.

Meghan Markle's mother is taking baby-care classes amid rumours that the royal couple's first child is on the way.

While she was initially hesitant about the idea, writing on her former blog The Tig that she asked herself "Could I campervan?"

Further details regarding the itinerary will be released closer to their arrival.

But now Kensington Palace has confirmed the dates and locations that the newlyweds will be visiting between 16 October and the end of next month.
