Patriots HC Bill Belichick says Josh Gordon trade still not done

Browns trade receiver Josh Gordon to Patriots

Dont'a Hightower was quick to remember his impressions of receiver Josh Gordon from the 2013 season when Gordon managed seven receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown with one rush for 34 yards in the Patriots' 27-26 win over the Cleveland Browns.

"He's a really good player and it's good to have him here", Rob Gronkowski added. "Again, I think unfortunately the last time I saw him, he caught a slant that he's probably still running, just a really huge play for them when he was in Cleveland", Patricia said.

Despite those basic, undeniable realities, coach Bill Belichick took the position with reporters on Wednesday that he won't be discussing the player because the trade isn't done.

It's yet to be seen how well Gordon will pick up the Patriots' offense. Gordon has had a checkered past through his six years in the National Football League, so it could be possible Belichick didn't want to get into all of that from the get-go. He was limited with a hamstring issue, an injury that was widely reported in the days leading up to his trade to the Patriots. Belichick may have alluded to it in one of his comments.

"I mean obviously a tremendous player". The Patriots have announced that Gordon has been traded to the Patriots.

"When I got there, I was sitting like, 'Oh man, I'm going to play with Tom Brady, ' so I wanted them to put my locker right beside his because whenever game time came about, I wanted to know everything", Moss once shared.

The Patriots and Browns agreed in principle on the trade on Monday evening.

Reactions poured in after ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed the official terms of the deal, which featured the Patriots sending a conditional fifth-round pick to the Browns.

"This afternoon we informed Josh Gordon and his representatives that we are going to release him on Monday", general manager John Dorsey said in a statement.
