Julie Chen leaving ‘The Talk’ after husband Les Moonves exits CBS

Julie Chen quits The Talk as she stands by her disgraced hubby

Last week, Chen said she was taking a few days off from the series in the wake of her husband Les Moonves' departure from CBS as chairman and CEO after a wave of allegations of sexual assault.

But despite her public support towards him, HollywoodLife reported via an insider at CBS that she is actually 'completely heartbroken by the humiliating allegations against her husband which have preceded his leaving CBS.

The source added that her departure from The Talk is set to be announced "any minute now" and that she is "a hundred percent" not leaving Moonves.

It's unclear how long Chen could remain on board at "Big Brother", although a source told the Journal that she hoped to stay with the program for "years to come".

After Julie was again a no-show on Monday's The Talk, the start of the show's second week into its new season, speculation turned to nearly certainty. On the show, her fellow co-hosts reacted to the news. She didn't address her husband's scandal, but she did sign off from the show using her married name, Julie Chen Moonves, for the first time in her 18 years of hosting the CBS reality show. Chen has supported her husband throughout the controversy, releasing a statement in July in which she called Moonves a "good man and a loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader".

Chen did not address her husband's resignation during the broadcast. It could be this week, or she could do it after 'Big Brother, ' but she will be leaving.

A CBS spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment Monday night. He's always been a kind, decent and moral human being.

According to TooFab, Williams continued by saying it will be impossible for Chen to work with longtime Talk co-host Sharon Osbourne, who last week said the fallen Les Moonves "obviously has a problem". I fully support my husband, and I stand behind him and his statement'.
