IPhone X most successful revenue generating model for Apple: Counterpoint report

It's finally here

Apple has been hit with a series of leaks in recent weeks, detailing all the new products it plans to unleash on the world. We may also learn about a new generation of Apple Watches, iPad Pros, and possibly get a first look at the successor to the Macbook Air.

Beyond smartphones and a new Apple Watch, the giant could also debut new versions of its AirPod wireless earphones and multi-device charging pad, AirPower, which was first announced at last year's iPhone event. About 17 percent will trade in their current model for last year's iPhone X, and just about 16 percent will opt for the iPhone 8.

Young Aussie fans Mazen Kourouche (centre), one of the first purchasers of the iPhone X, stands with others as they show off their boxed phones to the media after its release to the public outside the Apple Store in Sydney in November 2017.

IPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max will be available on all major carriers in the US, as well as unlocked for those who already have a service plan. The iPhone XS Max will come with a 6.5-inch screen, the largest Apple has ever attempted. The device has been rumoured to be a slightly "cheaper" alternative to the iPhone Xs and its expected £1,000 price tag.

The iPhone Xr name was also found on various other links which also revealed that the device will be available in several different colors.

"The iPhone XR appears to be a 6.1" iPhone with an LCD screen that comes in black, white, red, yellow, coral and blue colors. The iPhone XS Max would also come with a steel body and will be asymmetrical.

While iPhone sales have slowed, Apple profits have risen along with the average purchase price of its handsets. The most-used iPhone right now is still the iPhone 7, according to research firm Mixpanel, and more people have the iPhone 6S than the iPhone X.

Both GPS and cellular versions of the Apple Watch 4 are listed, as you'd expect, as are various familiar strap choices, such as sport bands and Milanese loop. The product experienced development challenges, but is now planned to launch as early as September.
