Chelsea Boss Talks Up Return Of Blues Legend
Terry is now without a club having left Aston Villa at the end of the 2017-2018 Championship campaign after Steve Bruce's side were beaten in the play-off final by Fulham in May.
Sarri, asked whether he would welcome the possibility of adding Terry to his backroom staff, said: "Yes, of course, but the last time I spoke with him, a week ago, he told me he wants to play for another season. He told me a lot of things, that he wants to play, so I'd have to speak to him again". He would be a point of reference for me and everybody here.
Eden Hazard's hat-trick for Chelsea against Cardiff has seen him join an exclusive club alongside Blues legends Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Cardiff City's Josh Murphy (hamstring) and Aron Gunnarsson (knee) are back in the squad for the trip to Stamford Bridge.
"In a few days, one week, he will be ready to play". Chelsea was victorious both times, winning 4-1 at home in the first game and 2-1 away at Cardiff in the second. Maybe it's better for him to have two days of training.
"At the moment I can answer City or Liverpool".
"We need another step to be at the same level".
"Mentally the match after the (international) break it is very hard; materially because we will play against a very physical team", he said.
"This was only because after the first season the players understood the difficulty of this kind of match".
The Blues have been playing some great football this season and with top-of-the-table Liverpool travelling to Tottenham this weekend, Chelsea have a great chance to leapfrog the Merseysiders with a fifth consecutive victory tomorrow.
Ahead of Chelsea's clash with Cardiff City on Saturday, manager Sarri said: 'My feeling is that we are not a very solid team in the defensive phase. "If he wants to help us, I'm very, very happy".
