Boyd Holbrook Apologizes For HIs Silence On The 'Predator' Controversy

Shane Black apologises for casting his sex offender friend in The Predator

Munn alerted the studio on August 15 and Striegel's scene was removed within 24 hours, Fox said.

On Saturday, the 38-year-old star was in Toronto, Canada, accepting an award at the Creative Coalition's Spotlight Awards, and while on stage, she delivered a speech in defense of her actions. Striegel is a lifelong friend of Shane Black, the director of The Predator, who has cast him in several other films, such as The Nice Guys and Iron Man 3.

Munn's THR interview was apparently meant to also include other members of the cast but some reportedly backed out, with only 11-year-old Jacob Tremblay coming along. "I'm sorry you're feeling so isolated, my dear. If you're going to ask me, that's going to be my choice".

In another interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she added, "I did see his apology that he put out". First, what is and is not forgivable?...

Authorities said Striegel tried to lure a 14-year-old girl into a sexual relationship over email, and made inappropriate physical contact. He was also a good friend of Shane, who served as the movie's director.

"I'm sorry you're feeling so isolated, my dear", Brown wrote in a series of tweets, tagging Munn's account, in response to a story by The Hollywood Reporter where Munn said, "I'm sitting here by myself when I should be with the rest of the cast".

Due to Olivia outing Striegl as a sex offender, he was sacked from the production. "Right now the reality is that there will be people who wear Time's Up pins and say they support Time's Up, [but] there will be people in Time's Up who aren't really down with the cause".

He continued, "That's gonna vary from individual to individual".

- Sterling K Brown (@SterlingKBrown) September 9, 2018Our studio was not given that opportunity, and neither was our cast.

Since then, co-star Sterling K. Brown has taken to Twitter to join Trevante Rhodes and Augusto Aguilera in expressing support for Munn, saying "we have a right to know who we're working with". With regards to forgiveness, I leave that to. I've had a different approach, always trying to be truthful speak up, speak out, but keep trying to remember what happens to you doesn't define you. "Now that the scene is deleted I think audiences will love it". You deserve to go make money, but not alongside me in a film.

"Especially [Munn], who was the only member of the principal cast who had to work with him". Black has released a statement in which he says while he was aware of the conviction, he previously believed Striegel had been "caught up in a bad situation", and apologised for letting himself be "mislead by a friend". The actress has been doing the TIFF interview circuit largely alone, most of her male co-stars all backing out, seemingly in hopes of avoiding questions regarding Black and Striegel. "I believe strongly in giving people second chances. but sometimes you discover that chance is not as warranted as you may have hoped".
