Aaron Rodgers injury tops all others in Sunday's preview

Aaron Rodgers Concerned Knee Will Get Worse Over Season

On Wednesday, Rodgers voiced some concern that the knee will actually get worse as he plays on it, though he's hopeful that the opposite will happen.

That's at least what Rodgers is concerned about going forward. Hopefully it goes the other way.

"... Obviously it won't be 100 percent, so I'll just adjust accordingly to how I'm feeling and try to get through".

The Green Bay Packers enter their Week 3 matchup at Washington with a 1-0-1 record. He won't practice on Thursday either.

"So, what we want to get done with them and how we practice them tomorrow will be based off the information that we go through tonight as a staff".

Although Rodgers has vaguely labeled his injury as a sprained knee, Breer categorized it as a bone bruise, requiring "incremental" improvement.

The Packers kept Rodgers out of practice all of last week until Saturday. He completed 30 of 42 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings last week.

"We're still in a day-by-day mode, I mean, just how he's progressing", Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. That's largely because they still have quarterback Aaron Rodgers, arguably the best player in the league today. That should help to prevent further injury, unless the offensive line continues to look like the sieve it was against the Vikings.
