In a story August 14 about Stevie Wonder and Rev. Jesse Jackson visiting Aretha Franklin at her home, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Jackson visited Franklin on Tuesday. Rev. Jesse Jackson was scheduled to visit Franklin on Wednesday.

"Aretha Franklin has been the Matriarch of the Franklin family since the passing of all of her siblings", Quinn tells ET.

Franklin canceled planned concerts earlier this year after she was ordered by her doctor to stay off the road and rest.

The singer's father CL Franklin was a preacher at New Bethel, where a young Aretha got her start singing gospel music.

"When I think of Aretha, I think of my mother and I think of a strong woman who has done so much, who has accomplished so much [and] achieved so much, so it's super saddening to know that she's very sick".

Beyoncé and Jay-Z paused their Detroit concert on Monday after the show's opening song "Holy Grail" to pay a small tribute to Franklin.

"Who is not a fan?"

"Like people all around the world, Hillary and I are thinking about Aretha Franklin tonight & listening to her music that has been such an important part of our lives the last 50 years", the tweet read.

Aretha never forgot Buffalo and would often talk call out Queen City street names that she remembered while performing on stage.

Aretha made her final public performance in August of previous year at the Mann Center in Philadelphia, reportedly battling through "exhaustion and dehydration" to "miraculously" complete the show. "She's the best of the best". "I am not going to even deal with that", she told JET, PEOPLE reports.

While the lineup for the Live Nation-produced gig has not yet been announced, at press time, it seems unlikely that Franklin will attend in light of reports from a source close to the singer that she is seriously ill.
