After a 6.1 quake on July 28 that killed many on the Indonesian Tourist Island of Lombok a 7.1-magnitude natural disaster on Sunday night made this situation so much worse.
Indonesian authorities have lifted a tsunami warning that was issued after a strong quake struck the popular tourist island of Lombok. Thousands of homes were damaged or destroyed, and even hospitals were affected. A number of mosques on that island have collapsed with worshippers inside them.
"There are challenges: the roads were damaged, three bridges were also damaged, some locations are hard to reach and we don't have enough personnel", said Nugroho.
Nugroho said the death toll had risen to 98, after warning earlier that it would "definitely increase".
"By the time I thought "This is going on a bit long" there were too many people under the table for me to join them but it stopped shortly after that".
Thousands of homes and buildings were damaged and 20,000 people were in temporary shelters.
The US Geological Survey said the quake, off the north coast of the island, struck 10km (6.21 miles) underground. The quake claimed more than a dozen lives.
Most of the victims were on the northern side of Lombok, near the epicentre of the 6.9 magnitude quake that hit in the early evening of Sunday.
Facilities at Lombok's main airport were also unaffected, although passengers were briefly evacuated from the main terminal.
Video showed screaming people running in panic from houses in a Bali neighbourhood and vehicles rocking.
BNPB spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said emergency units in its hospitals were overflowing and some patients were being treated in parking lots.
He said they were working through the night helping people who had been injured. A Tsunami warning posted then lifted after the initial quake, might be reinstated to cope with the tragedy.
Most Kiwi visitors fly into Denpasar airport in Bali, which is just a short flight or boat ride from Lombok, she said. "Many of us screamed hysterically".

Teigen said the island was experiencing aftershocks and she walked outside naked holding her newborn son.
Plan International Indonesia spokeswoman Dini Widiastuti said the staff immediately sprang into action to assist with the evacuation to higher ground.
