Everton fans reach on Twitter to brilliant deadline day

Barcelona duo Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes join Everton

The La Liga champions confirmed Mina's move for a fee of around £27 million, saying they had an option to buy him back.

A high powered Everton delegation arrived in Barcelona earlier today to finalise an agreement to sign Mina and Gomes from the Catalan giants on deadline day.

"I worked hard during my holiday and now I am ready to play and do important things with the Club".

Barca can re-sign the defender for a cool €60m.

Bernard, 25, was out of contract after leaving Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk in June.

Barcelona confirmed the deal for Gomes that will see Everton pay the Portugal global midfielder's wages for the full season, while also paying a loan fee of £2m (€2.25m).

Michael Owen backed Everton to finish in seventh place in the Premier League table this term, when writing a blog for BETVICTOR, and shared what everyone has been telling him about the Toffees ahead of the season. This is a great opportunity for me and I am looking forward to competing here. I know about Everton's players and I look forward to being able to play with my new team.

Mina, who impressed for Colombia at this summer's World Cup, had been pursued hard by the Blues since his exploits in Russian Federation.

Everton's new manager wanted two central defenders before the deadline and was hoping to get his wish with a second loan signing, that of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea. Muhamed Besic was lined up for a £6m return to Middlesbrough only for the deal to collapse late on while Everton rejected several loan offers for Yannick Bolasie, who they want to sell on a permanent basis.
