Thames leaves Brewers game with tight hamstring

Below Deck: Which prospects gain from selloff?

Will be updated.Starling Marte and Gregory Polanco hit back-to-back home runs for the second time Saturday, and the Pittsburgh Pirates won the second game of a doubleheader 6-2 over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Brewers starter Junior Guerra (6-6), who had won three starts in a row, gave up six runs and nine hits in four innings, with four strikeouts and two walks.

The Pirates scored three runs in the first on Polanco's sacrifice fly, an RBI single by Colin Moran and Bell's run-scoring double. You can catch all of the action, starting with pregame coverage on WISR 680AM. Pittsburgh has now gone 7-1 against the Nationals and Brewers, including a five-game sweep of Milwaukee thanks to Josh Bell, who delivered a walk-off double in the rain today at PNC Park.

Brewers: C Manny Pina (left biceps strain) and OF Ryan Braun (back strain) will be eligible to return from the disabled list after the All-Star break. In his last start against Miami on July 10, he allowed four runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings in an 8-3 win. He struck out two and walked none.

"Just doing me", Polanco said.

Four relievers held Milwaukee at bay after Nova, with Richard Rodriguez (2-2) picking up the win and Felipe Vazquez pitching the ninth for his 22nd save. "I got it and I put a good swing on it".

Milwaukee starter Jhoulys Chacin allowed one hit in 5 1/3 innings, but his throwing error allowed Musgrove to reach base ahead of Corey Dickerson's homer, which was the only damage against him. His first start came during a down stretch for the Pirates. Those were among the six hits he allowed, along with four strikeouts and two walks, in 5 1/3 innings.

Greinke (10-5), named to the NL All-Star team Thursday as a replacement for Chicago's Jon Lester, has won five straight decisions.

Martinez increased his major league-leading RBI total to 80 with a solo shot, and red-hot Mookie Betts extended his hitting streak to 12 games with three singles to raise the majors' best average to.362.

Brewers: RF Eric Thames left the game in the second inning with left hamstring tightness.

Thames suffered the injury while playing a ball hit into the right field corner in the top of the second inning.

"We're 90 games in and we've got 70 games to go", he said.

The Brewers offense went south during a Saturday doubleheader in Pittsburgh. He pulled up running out a ground ball in the fifth inning.

Pirates: RHP Jameson Taillon (6-7, 3.91 ERA) is scheduled to start the second half at Cincinnati on Friday.
