Raptors 'Generate Buzz' As Possible Trade Spot For Kawhi Leonard

That said, there is still plenty of buzz surrounding a potential trade that could send the San Antonio Spurs star to the Philadelphia 76ers.

For weeks, it had been known Leonard wanted out of San Antonio as a move to the Los Angeles Lakers was seemingly his number one priority.

However, the most recent development came last week when the 28-year-old reportedly had a change of heart and no longer wanted to play alongside James.

Leonard is a former NBA Finals MVP, winning the award at age 22 when the Spurs defeated LeBron's Miami Heat team in the 2015 Finals.

Kawhi Leonard's hive-mind of his uncle's friends decided that the two-way superstar would be playing in Los Angeles next season, and agreed that Kawhi wouldn't set foot on the court for another team.

Leonard's camp put out his interest to join the Lakers amid his outrage with the way he was treated by the Spurs, but he's in no way facilitated any sort of good faith around league circles.

The Clippers now do not have the assets for an enticing package but one team in the East which does is the Sixers, who the Spurs are in discussions with.

Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Daily News reports that the Sixers have been in talks with the Spurs and are confident they could convince Leonard to sign an extension, but the Spurs "keep trying to raise the ante" for Leonard by claiming another team is offering more.

Unlike the 76ers and Celtics, the Raptors don't possess a bevy of assets to swing a Leonard trade. He will consider Philly. The problem, however, is both Boston and Philadelphia are keeping their top players "off limits" as per ESPN. However, the Spurs want two players - again, believed to be Saric and Covington - and three future first-round picks.

San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard remains the biggest enigma in the National Basketball Association to this day, as big-time free agents and players have moved cities and teams, as he remains put, but with no clear direction of his next destination or any resolution to his issues with the franchise.

Whatever happens in the end, it looks like the Leonard saga is going to continue for now.
