The two dazzled in very different but equally gorgeous looks, with Meghan wowing in a designer and cut she has never worn before.

Members of the royal family gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, with from left, Prince Charles, Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Andrew, Queen Elizabeth II, Meghan the Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, as they watch a flypast of Royal Air Force aircraft pass over Buckingham Palace.

Fresh from Prince Louis's christening yesterday, the royal foursome arrived at the iconic landmark for a service celebrating the RAF's history.

At her first royal christening, the former "Suits" actress gave a nod to her USA roots by wearing an olive-toned design by popular American designer Ralph Lauren.

Fittingly, Meghan Markle arrived wearing a forest green pencil dress by Givenchy which featured pocket detailing, while holding a tan leather tote.

She completed her look by wearing pale heels also by Dior.

Meghan Markle just attended her first royal christening alongside her husband, Prince Harry, and the Duchess used the occasion to debut a new colour in her wardrobe-olive green.

Meghan oozed Hollywood glamour in the stunning ensemble as she kept her makeup simple and her hair down with a gentle wave.

The RAF, which is the first-ever independent air force, split from the British Army and Royal Navy in April 1918.

As well as being Britain's top defense system in air, the RAF has prevented conflicts and delivered aid in areas hit by natural disasters over the last many decades. Meetings with The President of Ireland, Michael Higgins, and with The Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, are both planned.

After the brief speech, the Queen joined the rest of the royals up on the palace balcony to watch nearly 100 aircraft, from Second World War Spitfires to the newest stealth fighter jet, fly over the palace.
