LeBron James still hasn’t met with Lakers coach Luke Walton, report says

LeBron James has raised more questions than he answered

Before LeBron James made a decision to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, the team was more recently known as Kobe Bryant's team.

In 2014, LeBron returned to the Cavs after a dalliance with a more attractive suitor from South Beach, because after four years he realized the grass may have been more lush in Miami but not almost as familiar.

You've heard the snarky comments: When LeBron James is on your team, he's more than just the star player - he's the de facto general manager.

Surprisingly, they are exactly the type of players Magic Johnson told James he'd be surrounding him with if the James chose to sign with the Lakers.

But at least the worst half-decade in franchise history should become a bad memory for Lakers fans, who seethed through five irrelevant seasons highlighted mostly by Bryant's retirement tour.

That begs the question: What are Magic and LeBron thinking? That, of course, could change rapidly with San Antonio dangling Kawhi Leonard but that could also necessitate that one or more of LA's talented youngsters gets shipped in the deal, which would still make the Lakers more formidable with Leonard in the mix.

Per the report, the Lakers were looking for "tough-minded playmakers" like Rondo and Stephenson.

However, the two-time reigning NBA Finals MVP reportedly privately suggested the prospect was not as alluring as some might think.

"Kevin Durant ain't coming to L.A. Kevin Durant plans to stay in Golden State".

Celtics rumors are running rampant as National Basketball Association free agency rages on with multiple reports coming out in the recent days.

To win another championship, LeBron will have to overcome some challenges.

Dwyane Wade (L), LeBron James (C) and Chris Bosh (R) of the Miami Heat celebrate winning Game 7 of the NBA Finals at the American Airlines Arena June 20, 2013 in Miami, Florida. He worked with a superstar lineup that included Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen.

The best player of his generation might no longer be the best recruiter in the league.
