Jack Wilshere has signed for West Ham United on a three-year contract worth £100,000 a week.

Wilshere will be looking to rebuild his career under Manuel Pellegrini following a frustrating few seasons at the Emirates Stadium.

Wilshere had been hampered by injuries in recent years and spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Bournemouth.

"It feels good, it feels special", said Wilshere on the West Ham website.

"It feels good, it feels special", the England global told his new club's official website.

"Many people know that I've had a special bond with this club growing up".

"I think I must have been about six or seven, my whole family were West Ham fans, I was a West Ham fan, still have a soft spot for them of course".

Wilshere is set to fly to Switzerland to link up with new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini's squad at the club's pre-season training camp.

Despite the delay West Ham are confident that Anderson will sign for them with the fee nearly twice their previous record which stands at the £24 million they paid Stoke City last summer for Marko Arnautovic.

Wilshere had been linked with a move to other Premier League sides, and also a move overseas to Italy, where there has been much interest in the midfielder.

West Ham had hoped to sign Anderson for around £35 million but have had to increase their offer.

Over the next 10 seasons, he played a total of 125 Premier League games for the Gunners, scoring seven times, with two FA Cup winners' medals to his name.

Wilshere didn't make the England squad for the World Cup having not played for the Three Lions since the loss to Iceland although he was in one squad in the meantime.
