Mueller is investigating so-far unproven claims that President Trump's campaign organization colluded with agents of the Kremlin in order to tilt the 2016 election in his favor. "I think he's going to tell the truth, as best he can, given his recollection, and if he does that, we're home-free".
Mr. Giuliani, a former mayor of New York City, repeatedly suggested many on Mr. Mueller's team were politically motivated against Mr. Trump.
A day after he tweeted "I will always protect my POTUS" in April, the FBI raided his home, office and hotel room as part of a probe by federal prosecutors in NY into his business dealings.
Donald Trump is still weighing whether to agree to an interview in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, but is concerned about what he sees as a "corrupt" and "tainted" probe, the president's lead attorney said.
Lanny Davis, the attorney representing longtime Trump "fixer" Michael Cohen, sharply rebuked Rudy Giuliani on Monday for insisting that Cohen has no damaging information about President Donald Trump.
Giuliani echoed this sentiment on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos on Sunday.
The Cohen interview was released on the same day that a former federal judge vetting material seized from him said in a court filing that over a million items were turned over to prosecutors after she determined they weren't protected by attorney-client privilege. Those include the decision to announce without Justice Department consultation the conclusion of the Clinton investigation, and the decision months later to brief Trump - then the president-elect - on salacious allegations about him in a dossier.
Mr. Trump has denied any collusion and obstructing justice, deriding the probe as a "witch hunt". "I have debriefed all their witnesses", he said.
"It cast a taint over the entire investigation", Mr. Giuliani said on ABC.
"The reality is that there are biases that have to be explored surrounding Mueller", Giuliani added, specifically pointed to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's recently released report. "Sorry, I don't see Michael doing that despite the terrible Witch Hunt and the dishonest media!"
The White House initially pointed as justification for the firing to a Justice Department memo that faulted Comey for his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, though Trump later said that "this Russian Federation thing" was on his mind when he made the move.
Petrillo did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
"Simply accepting the denial of Mr. Putin is unsustainable", Cohen said.

The waste issue is coming up in company boardrooms, though Starbucks is taking the lead among global companies on straws. Straws add up to only about 2,000 tons of the almost 9m tons of plastic waste that hits waters each year.
