George Clooney has been hospitalised after crashing his bike in Sardinia, Italy, according to reports. Private Mediaset, citing gossip magazine Chi, said the accident occurred near Costa Corallina, in the province of Olbia. Calls and emails to Clooney's spokesman weren't immediately returned.
Clooney was taken by ambulance to the John Paul II hospital emergency room, but his injuries were not serious.
Clooney reportedly was in Sardinia filming a television miniseries adapted from Joseph Heller's World War II novel "Catch-22".
In pictures from the crash, obtained by the MailOnline, the vehicle involved in the crash appears to have a smashed windscreen, suggesting George may even have hit it during the crash.
An NBC News reporter tweeted that Clooney has already been discharged by the hospital.
The publication states that according to La Nuova Sardegna, George was hit by the vehicle after it suddenly changed direction, taking him by surprise.
This is a developing story and will be updated when more information becomes available.
