US Slaps More Sanctions on Russians Over Hacking

The Russian state research center, the Kvant Institute, which specializes in research and technological development of electronic hardware and software for the state and its public institutions, has also been added to the sanctions list.

The move is in response to alleged Russian cyber-attacks on the US.

The Trump administration on Monday slapped sanctions on several Russian companies and businessmen for engaging in cyberattacks and assisting Russia's military and intelligence services with other malicious activities.

Another company listed as having an Israeli address, ERPScan, was also added to the Treasury blacklist, which freezes all USA property belonging to the companies and prohibits United States citizens from doing business with them.
