Taylor Swift is the other woman in Mad Men-esque video

Sugarland Jennifer Nettles Kristian Bush Taylor Swift Babe Video

Watch out for Taylor Swift! "She loves our recording of it. In it, she appears to steal Nettles" husband.

Taylor Swift is the "other woman" in the music video for "Babe", her collaboration with Sugarland! At the end of the video, Swift is sitting on the kitchen floor belting out her vocals, which are also featured on the song, after her lover leaves her to return home. "She lives her life out there through it, and you will see".

"Swift reached out. We [have] obviously known each other for many years".

The singer came up with the concept and treatment for the video herself before handing the song over to Sugarland, and the country pop duo said that working with her was "super natural", although I'm unsure if that's actually meant to be one word or two.

"It's your favorite summer movie you haven't seen yet", Bush told ET.

Nettles and musical partner Kristian Bush were thrilled not only with the song, but Swift's idea for the video as well. "It's red-headed Taylor. Which I think is.it could be a giveaway if you're a Mad Men fan, but maybe not".

Without spoiling the show for anyone who hasn't seen it, rest assured the video borrows heavily from the 1960s-set drama.

In the clip, Swift and Routh exchange flirty glances in an elevator and an office before ramping up their intimacy.

Nettles told the outlet she found the video 'cinematic, ' adding, 'It's a period piece, if you will'.

It's an interesting turn for Swift, who so often plays the victim.

Speaking to People, the 43-year-old country star said: "She actually reached out to us and said, 'I've got a great idea for the video. It's so good", Sugarland member Kristian Bush told Hollywood Life on the CMT red carpet on Wednesday, June 6.
