Sydney Loofe: Duo charged after Tinder date murder

Woman's accused killers caught on surveillance video buying tools to dismember her: Prosecutors

Charges against the two were filed in a Saline County Court on Monday.

A woman was murdered and her body dismembered after she was tricked into a Tinder date with another woman whose secret boyfriend wanted a threesome.

Authorities said that Loofe matched with Boswell on Tinder, a dating app, and went on a date on November 14, 2017.

Loofe graduated from Neligh-Oakdale High School in 2011, where her father works as the principal.

Following her graduation, she moved to Lincoln where she took a job as a cashier for the home improvement store Menards. Her vehicle was still in her driveway.

Despite their claims, the district attorney's office ultimately made a decision to charge Trail and Boswell with premeditated murder as opposed to an accidental death. After learning about Loofe's last Tinder date, police executed a search warrant at the apartment, where they determined that somebody must have been washing the walls.

With the pair behind bars, authorities discovered Loofe's remains December 4 in several garbage bags east of Clay Center, KETV reported.

Boswell and Trail were quickly considered suspects in the case, and were in arrested in Missouri in November on unrelated charges.

Her alleged killers were soon tracked down in Branson, Mo., with Trail claiming he had strangled Loofe with an extension cord after his threeway fantasy went wrong. Trail told the World-Herald in February that Loofe participated in a consensual sexual encounter with him and at least two other women. She has two siblings, a brother Levi and a sister MacKenzie.

"It wasn't supposed to go to the extreme it went, of course not", Trail told the World-Herald. "It wasn't meant that she was to die".

Aubrey Trail, 51, and Bailey Boswell, 23, were charged in 24-year-old Sydney Loofe's death, KMTV reported.

Boswell and Trail were spotted on CCTV buying tools and supplies from a Home Depot on November 15. Investigators said Trail and Boswell were captured on video at a Home Depot in Lincoln on November 15 buying tools used to dismember Loofe, hours before her death and while she was still at work.

She said: "She texted me and told me about the date she had (and) how great it went and she was excited to go on another date with her again Wednesday night".

"Try me. Charge me".

Sydney Loofe's body was found dumped and in pieces in a field near the town of Edgar, Nebraska.

He didn't give many details at first, simply saying that "I am accountable for this" - not Boswell - and that the reasons would come later. However, he said Boswell was on drugs at the time and wasn't in the room when Loofe died.
