Luckily for some of us, Snapchat now lets you delete messages you've sent directly to friends or in a group chat.
Now Snapchat has stepped in to save you some of the pain of missent messages.
To delete a sent message, users can simply press and hold on the text or the media (audio, video or Stickers) they would like to get rid of and a pop-up delete button will appear.
You can now delete messages on Snapchat, here's how you can do it
Up until this update, Snapchat chat messages would only disappear when both you and the person you sent it to had read it, or after 30 days if the message was unopened.
The "delete chat" feature will be landing on all platforms globally in the coming weeks, according to a statement issued by the company, and it will work even when a message has been saved by other members of the conversation. The message will be gone, and friends in the individual or group conversation will be alerted that a message was deleted.
Snap has also announced that its Spectactles will soon be available to buy on Amazon. They are even eligible for next-day shipping, just in case you need them stat.
