Paul George teaming up with ESPN to document offseason decision

Paul George

It's a tale of two pitches for potential National Basketball Association free agents LeBron James and Paul George.

George will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, and though it was long believed he was a lock to sign with the Lakers, that no longer appears to be the case. Los Angeles is planning to recruit George after multiple reports have indicated that he is interested in potentially signing with the team. George wrapped up one season with the Oklahoma City Thunder after spending the first seven years of his career with the Indiana Pacers.

Among them is attorney and longtime Lakers fan Jacob Emrani, who placed '#LABron' billboards throughout Los Angeles in the days before the Cleveland Cavaliers made their annual visit to Staples Center.

It sounds as if George, on the other hand, will get an elaborate pitch from the Lakers - also a rumored landing spot for James - that includes a poetic ode to playing for the team near his hometown of Palmdale, Calif. Ahead of his pending free agency, an apparent Lakers recruiting pitch was leaked to Sports Illustrated's Robin Lundberg and it features a voiceover the Lakers plan on using with video.

"SportsCenter will take viewers behind the scenes with the five-time NBA All-Star with exclusive and intimate access during his offseason in "Paul George: My Journey", a three-part series that will debut in the 6 p.m. ET edition of SportsCenter on Tuesday, June 26".

Becoming one of the world's greatest.
