Microsoft, as expected, has unveiled a brand new Forza game for Xbox One and PC at E3 2018. Xbox boss Phil Spencer promised a huge showcase this year and he delivered on that promise ten-fold! Although Spencer did not reveal what exactly this Santa Monica-based studio is working on, he did say that The Initiative is led by Darrell Gallagher.
Next, in a not-so-surprising acquisition, Spencer announced that Undead Labs, makers of State of Decay have been purchased by Microsoft.
While they didn't announce any titles in the works from these studios, it's a big step forward for a company who are always playing catch-up with Sony in the exclusives department. The studio is now building a team of "world class talent" to develop "groundbreaking new game experiences".
Forza Horizon 4 releases on October 2nd worldwide, and will be available for free on Xbox Game Pass for free on the same day. If rumors are correct, that other game could be a full-fledged Fable game.
The upcoming Forza game will also include a cool open world multiplayer experience that lets you pit your racing talents against real gamers.
Hellblade studio Ninja Theory has also been snapped up by Microsoft, presumably to make some exciting first-party action games for Xbox. Compulsion is responsible for We Happy Few.
