Melania Trump, Definitely Still 100% Alive, Is Giving G7 & Singapore A Miss

Boehner said he never dreamed Donald Trump would be president describing him as a political supporter who would sometimes call to comfort him in hard political times

Trump is scheduled to leave for his presidential retreat in Maryland, while Melania will remain at the White House over the weekend. As CNN notes, past year the White House only released a statement following the reception with a snippet of the first lady's remarks, so we probably shouldn't expect to see any photos from the event.

The White House announced Monday, May 14 that she underwent what experts say is generally considered to be a minor surgery for a "benign" kidney-related issue.

On Wednesday of last week, as the Inquisitr reported, a reporter for cable network CNBC posted a Twitter message claiming that he personally saw the first lady in the White House the previous day. "Rest assured, I'm here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!" wrote the First Lady. Her absence from public events raised quite a few concerns in the minds of Americans.

She also made a solo trip to Canada in September of previous year to to lead the USA delegation to the Invictus Games, where she met with Prince Harry.

Not everyone, though, believed that Mrs. Trump had actually written the tweet herself.

Paolo Zampolli, a longtime pal of Melania's, told the Associated Press she "wanted to spend some quality time with her family".

According to a pool report, President Trump responded by pointing to a window in the White House residence, and said: "She's doing great".

A year ago Melania joined her husband in Taormina, Italy, for a G7 meeting where she famously wore a $51,000 Dolce & Gabbana jacket. His tweet had collected more than 1.3 lakh retweets and 3.3 lakh likes, at the time of writing.

Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's director of communications, told ABC News that she was "doing really well" and has been involved in several internal meetings with staff regarding initiatives and other long-term planning for events such as the congressional picnic and Fourth of July.

Melania's absence led to many people making widespread rumours and conspiracy theories.
