The Star Wars fandom has been making waves in the news lately, and not due to their Han Solo-related takes. It's widely known now that at the time that Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney, the creator of the franchise handed over outlines for Star Wars: Episode VII, Episode VIII, and Episode IX.
Lucas no longer has any direct creative input into the Star Wars films, although he has been around them.
Sounds like he wanted to do an Osmosis Jones-esque adventure in the microscopic universe contained within the larger Star Wars universe. "You're not entitled to politeness when your approach is rude". So in George Lucas' mind, the stories of Star Wars have always been tales relayed to us by these creatures called the Whills. The Journal of the Whills was first introduced into the Star Wars canon in the novelization of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which opens with a quotation from the Journal. This nearly feels like a direction similar to what Ridley Scott did with Prometheus and Alien: Covenant (for better or worse).
Honestly, that doesn't sound all that compelling. Adding the idea of microbiology and these creatures we don't understand or know anything about just feels like one step too far.
"All the way back to - with the Force and the Jedi and everything - the whole concept of how things happen was laid out completely from [the beginning] to the end".
"On social media a few unhealthy people can cast a big shadow on the wall, but over the past 4 years I've met lots of real fellow SW fans", Johnson said.
"If I'd held onto the company I could have done it, and then it would have been done". I've got to say that it's probably a good thing the films didn't get made then because based on fan hatred for The Phantom Menace's midichlorians, which tried to provide a scientific explanation for The Force, it appears people don't want to know the inner working of the Force and just want to see the Jedi do insane things.
The actor - who played Stormtrooper Finn - took to Twitter this week to air his grievances towards the pests in the wake of Kelly Marie Tran being forced off social media by a bunch of harassers who apparently didn't like the direction her character, Rose, went in on The Last Jedi.
