In the newest episode of her Facebook Watch show, alongside her mother Adrienne Banfield-Jones and 17-year-old daughter Willow, Jada said she had a more positive experience with learning about sex than her mother might have.
The 46-year-old actress has revealed she learned how to sexually satisfy herself thanks to her grandmother Marion Martin Banfield, a social worker who was determined to ensure that Jada didn't "fall into the hands of a man". "In the years I spent towards my healing, many moons ago, I realized the mind and heart can be extremely delicate without the foundation of a formidable spirit", she wrote.
"I think by your age, I gave myself multiples first", Pinkett Smith told Willow and her daughter's friend Telana Lynum during the program. I gave myself multiples first.
She continued: "And I actually think I went through kind of an addiction, too, with it". Mental health is a daily practice for me.
Pinkett Smith added in her post that her battle with mental illness hasn't been easy, though she's grateful she "pulled through".
Jada asked what her daughter's feelings were about that incident and Willow said she had simply "overstepped a boundary".
The actor also spoke candidly about her recent struggle with alopecia and how she has started to wear her hair shorter because of the condition.
During the chat, Willow revealed that her introduction to sex was accidentally seeing her parents doing the deed!
'At 15 years old, Jaden, and I remember this day specifically, it's probably one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life, ' she said.
