The restaurant chain famous for pancakes will still serve flapjacks, but now it's serving steakburgers beginning today.
The restaurant's website, still found at www.ihop.com claims their new Ultimate Steakburgers are "un-burgerin"-believable". "We've pancaked pancakes for 60 years now so it's the flawless time to start burgerin" burgers, and we're kicking it off by flipping the "p" in IHOP to a "b' for burgers".
Word is spreading that the name change is not official and that it's just a summer promotion, but the restaurant has not commented. Among the burgers now available are Big Brunch, Cowboy BBQ, Mushroom Swiss, Jalapeno Kick and Mega Monster.
"We're always going to have pancakes on the menu, we're always going to be IHOP", the company's president, Darren Rebelez, told Fox News on Monday from the flagship IHOb in Hollywood, California. "Breakfast" was a popular vote for social media fans - so burgers is quite a surprise.
