Gal Gadot to star opposite Dwayne Johnson in action-comedy, Red Notice

Whoa ! Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot team

Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot are teaming up for a new film titled "Red Notice" directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

Filming for the project is expected to begin in the spring of 2019 (so don't count on a Johnson presidential ticket) and is set for release on June 12, 2020.

The actress, model and Revlon spokeswoman also just appeared in a music video for Maroon 5, and is now filming Wonder Woman 2. She recently aligned with Sue Kroll on a Warner Bros deal for My Dearest Fidel, a fact-based tale that is a potential star vehicle for her. Thurber apparently jetted into London, where she's in the middle of working on Wonder Woman 2, for a whirlwind trip to pitch her on the idea. Though plot details about Red Notice have mostly been kept under wraps at this stage, the film has been described as a world-spanning heist-themed action-comedy. Gadot will play a "brilliant and mysterious figure in the art world", Deadline reports. His background is in comedies like Dodgeball and We're the Millers, but with Skyscraper and now Red Notice-both of which he's writing himself-Thurber is carving out his own, original blockbusters. Dwayne Johnson is his own superhero. "Red Notice" refers to the highest and most serious of Interpol notices (there are eight) and concerns the arrest of wanted criminals. Wendy Jacobson of FPC is executive producing.
