First ‘Wonder Woman 2’ Images Reveal the Return of Chris Pine

The character sacrificed his life during the climax of the first "Wonder Woman", which means the script will have a lot of explaining to do in regards to how Trevor is alive in 1984. An image released by Warner Bros. with Pine as Trevor is above. Check out the two first look photos from the sequel below!

The "Wonder Woman" sequel is officially titled "Wonder Woman 1984", a nod to the film's new period setting.

We certainly didn't know that her human love, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), would be making an appearance - unaged and seemingly whole.

Directed by Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Kristen Wiig, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theaters on November 1, 2019.

The director has also confirmed Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) will be playing Wonder Woman's nemesis Cheetah in the sequel. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Walter Hamada, and Geoff Johns are executive producers.

Joining her behind the scenes are several members of Jenkins' Wonder Woman team, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto (Amélie), and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (Topsy-Turvy).

Filming is scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C.; Alexandra, Virginia; the United Kingdom; Spain; and, the Canary Islands.
