‘Dumbo’ Trailer: Disney Releases First Teaser For Tim Burton’s Hybrid Remake

Tim Burton is the flawless choice. But Burton's Disney adaptation of Dumbo surprisingly reigns back the darkness and gives us a little more of that childhood awe in the Dumbo trailer. Following the successes of The Jungle Book, Pete's Dragon and Beauty and The Beast, Disney handles the reins of handling the Dumbo adaptation to the Academy Award-nominated director Tim Burton.

Burton's "Dumbo" is loosely based on Disney's 1941 animated classic of the same name.

While some might have been anxious about how Dumbo would translate into a live action adaptation, the teaser show's there's nothing to worry about. But in Dumbo, everyone is flesh-colored, warm and full of hope - especially the young girl Milly (Nico Parker) who takes the lost Dumbo under her wing. Burton directs Eva Green, Danny DeVito, Colin Farrell and Michael Keaton, as well as some pink elephants. There, they bond with the circus's newest addition, a shy young elephant named Dumbo. "Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) hires him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe".

Directed by Tim Burton ("Alice in Wonderland", "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory") from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger ("Ophelia", "Dream House"), and produced by Justin Springer ("TRON: Legacy"), Kruger, Katterli Frauenfelder ("Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children", "Big Eyes") and Derek Frey ("Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children", "Frankenweenie"), "Dumbo" flies into theaters on March 29, 2019.

Farrell, 42, plays Holt Farrier, seen above in an exclusive first look with Eva Green, who plays aerial acrobat Colette Marchant.
