A graffiti artist has hit the town of Windsor spray-painting his'tag all over signs around the town

The area around Windsor Castle is on lockdown, with extra police patrolling the town and the installation of anti-terror bollards.

The garbage cans have been removed all throughout the region. According to the police, (they're) talking about Friday.

The royal procession after the wedding on Saturday will travel through Castle Hill, High Street, Sheet Street, Kings Road, Albert Road and The Long Walk. That's why police will be manning these rooftops, watching out for snipers. Local Thames Valley Police told TIME that the storage of belongings was "entirely voluntary" and designed "to ensure the safety of the homeless community".

As the English town of Windsor makes final preparations for the Royal Wedding on Saturday, a controversy over homelessness has dampened the celebratory mood.

Thames Valley Police are working closely with The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, The Windsor Homeless Project, and local support services in order to offer support to local homeless people. "There are people here a week, maybe even two weeks, before the wedding".

"We will continue to engage and work in partnership to support the communities of Windsor".

The Windsor Homeless Project, who are working with the police to store rough sleeper's belongings, are also selling commemorative wedding memorabilia to raise money.
