Ronda Rousey's Four Horsewomen Teammates Join WWE Performance Center

The Two Remaining Members of MMA’s Four Horsewomen Have Officially Reported To The WWE Performance Center

With Rousey and Baszler now having success in their own respective brands of Monday Night Raw and NXT, it's only a matter of time before Duke and Shafir follow suit.

The WWE announced today that Duke and Shafir have reported to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., to begin training for their debut, joining Rousey and previous WWE signee Shayna Baszler in the ring.

On Monday, WWE revealed that Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke reported to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, to begin their transition into professional wrestling. Despite faring well on TUF and her UFC debut, things didn't go Duke's way in the cage, and ended up going winless over her next two years in MMA.

In December, Sportskeeda cited Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, who wrote that the MMA vs. WWE Four Horsewomen match might not push forward after all, but with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir now training at WWE's Performance Center, Cageside Seats speculated that this could very well cause the rumors of the aforementioned faction feud to fire up once again.

Shafir's last MMA appearance was under the Invicta FC banner, where she suffered her second consecutive knockout loss in July 2015.

MMA's Four Horsewomen have arrived in WWE in full force. Sasha Banks was traveling with the WWE main roster crew at the time and couldn't take part in the angle. Duke, Shafir and Rousey were there to support Baszler, who advanced to the final round of the inaugural tournament before losing to Kairi Sane.

While the four fighters remained friends throughout their MMA careers, Baszler eventually joined WWE where she is now the reigning NXT women's champion. While the trio of Flair, Lynch, and Bayley merely exchanged words with the MMA stars, the scripted incident nonetheless sparked rumors that both Four Horsewomen factions would be facing each other at that year's Survivor Series.

With Duke and Shafir now preparing to conquer a new world of combat sports, will it be long before they add to Baszler and Rousey's already incredible list of accomplishments in the ring?
