Police respond to report of person with gun at Boulevard mall

'Active shooter' scare at The Boulevard Mall in Las Vegas

According to TV station KLAS Channel-8, police had established a "massive presence" at the Boulevard Mall at Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway.

Authorities in Las Vegas responded to the Boulevard Mall late Thursday after a "individual with a gun" name, police mentioned. Police evacuated the mall and conducted three searches, but could not locate the person, he said.

Buyers have posted photos on social media that present dozens of police automobiles exterior the mall.

However, Jones says a tactical team with a police dog is making a fourth search to make sure nobody is inside.

Initial reports suggest the police response came after shoppers called 911 after seeing a man walking through the hallways with a rifle. No shots were fired and no one was injured. "Officers are clearing the mall as a precaution but at this point it all appears unfounded".
