Naked man tasered at Florida airport

"I planted a bomb in the bathroom", Chitwood said.

Daytona Beach International Airport was evacuated Friday morning and a naked man was stunned with a taser on the baggage carousel, deputies said.

Volusia County deputies say the man was naked, and ran through the airport, into a restricted area.

The sheriff's office says one person was taken into custody.

Sheriff Chitwood says the bomb squad is now investigating a hole in a wall found in the women's bathroom.

According to Chitwood, Greenwood was fully clothed when he walked into the airport Friday morning.

Officials said there was a female bathroom under construction, where a piece of wall was hollowed out. Chitwood said Greenwood was transported to a hospital and admitted to using Molly and other drugs the night before.

The suspect is being evaluated at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Chitwood said. It was said that he was taken into custody at least twice before, under the state's Baker Act for mental evaluations.

It was not immediately clear whether Greenwood was flying anywhere. He has not been charged but will face federal crimes, the sheriff said.

Airport spokesman Jay Cassens confirmed with Spectrum News 13 that travelers were outside of the airport for an hour and a half.

Reportedly, at least two flights, one to Charlotte, North Carolina and another to Atlanta, Georgia, were delayed as a result of the incident.

Nathan Blum, a traveler who tweeted about the incident, also claimed the suspect had been "running around the airport" before he was "tackled and tased" by security.
