Xiaomi's Senior Vice President Wang Xiang has released a tweet saying that the Mi Band 3 is also coming on May 31, along with the Mi 8 and MIUI 10. Moreover, the Mi Band 3 won't cost a fortune, but it will be slightly more expensive than the previous model. During the launch of Xiaomi's Blue Shark last month, the company's co-founder and CEO Lei Jun was spotted wearing the Mi Band 3, hinting at the imminent launch of the fitness tracker. The fitness tracker could also feature gestures like a long press, swipes for various tasks.
To know more about these devices, we recommend you to stay tuned to us as we will be covering the May 31 Xiaomi launch event through live blogging. The smartphone could be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 4GB and 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The new MIUI 10 is expected to debut on the Mi 8 which will be Android based. Going by the trend, Mi Note 4 should ideally be released as a successor to Mi Note 3. With just a couple of days to go before the event, newer leaks have now emerged that give us a closer look at the features of the smartphone.
Mi Band 3 confirmed, New Mi 8 leaks flaunt 3D face unlock
Add to that, tipster Ishan Agarwal has apparently obtained source code that also carries the mention of the Mi 8 SE, which according to him will be a premium variant of the flagship series. The Mi 8 is shown sporting familiar aesthetics first seen on Apple's iPhone X - an nearly all-screen display with a thick notch sitting on the top and a noticeable chin at the bottom. Since it's more accurate, it's also possible for drivers to get lane-departure warning on smartphones without having additional sensors or cameras. It seems that Xiaomi's 3D face unlock will scan the user's face in a similar fashion to the iPhone X's Face Unlock. This variant of the smartphone comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Another feature highlighted on the retail box is "Dual GPS" which hasn't been heard of till now.
