Kevin Owens Signs Contract Extension With WWE

Kevin Owens Signs Contract Extension With WWE

Kurt welcomes everyone to Raw. Hopefully, both the men's and women's matches are co-branded, because four ladder matches (and briefcases) would be overkill.

Braun Strowman's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Lashley has main event written all over his muscular body, and tonight's tag team match at Backlash presents the flawless opportunity to have him turn on Strowman and begin a feud with the monster among men. When they were done he had to listen to their little handshake and then he said he waited for everyone to get in the treehouse and he knocked the whole damn tree down... which is an admission of multiple counts of attempted murder. Braun asks Angle if he knows what he did? And STO to Zayn led to the double down between the two men, but Owens got the tag first and went for Strowman, but he thought better of it and The Monster Among Men was then officially introduced to the matchup.

Zayn and Owens were well aware that they were at a complete disadvantage in this match, but the in-ring experience of the Canadians was something that paid dividends as Zayn kicked off the match against Lashley and took the big man off his game with the mind games.

Then Angle said Strowman is in a qualifying match and his opponent is Kevin... that match starts right now. Owens goes on but Braun interrupts and says the only thing Owens deserves is to get these hands.

Kevin Owens comes out and he says if anyone deserves to be in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, it should be him. Owens mentions Angle's job and how RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon is watching. Angle thanks him for reminding that Stephanie is watching.

Owens tagged into the match and Lashley was then able to dominate the former Universal Champion with a swinging neckbreaker before Zayn then stepped back into the ring. We go to commercial. Owens with forearms but Strowman with a back elbow. Owens goes to the floor and Strowman follows. Strowman with a hard Irish whip. Bobby Lashley's return to the WWE has been seen as lackluster so far, with many members of the WWE Universe wondering why someone as dominant as Strowman needed The Dominator by his side.

The referee starts his count again. Braun ends up planting Owens with a big chokeslam in the middle of the ring. In addition to seeing Braun kick the stuffing out of Kevin and Sami, which the fans should enjoy, the bout provides a flawless opportunity for the WWE to find a direction for Bobby Lashley. Owens goes for the corner cannonball but Braun grabs him by the throat. Then he will be in full control of his destiny and he will take back what is his.

Owens goes to the top for the Frogsplash and nails it for another close 2 count. Owens has a kick blocked and Strowman misses a clothesline. Owens with another superkick. Strowman goes to the floor and he charges at Owens but Kevin gets into the crowd. Braun hits a big splash in the corner but Owens rolls to the floor for a breather. Braun runs around the ring and runs right into Owens, sending him flying through the air into the barrier. Strowman with a splash into the corner and Owens falls to the floor. Braun runs around the ring one more time and nails Owens once again. Braun brings Owens back into the ring and delivers the running powerslam for the win on Owens' birthday. Braun is going to Money In the Bank. We go to replays.

We are back and Strowman powers out of a chin lock. Ask Paul Heyman, Brock Lesnar, or Samoa Joe. Reigns says he's championship material but WWE doesn't agree with this and he's exhausted of being screwed over.

Kurt says it is settled in the ring. Reigns says he's made a career out of silencing the hate. The first will be Moon, Riott, and Banks the other will be Roman, Finn, and Sami.

MITB Qualifier: Sasha Banks vs. Ember Moon vs.

They showed Roman Reigns backstage and Mike Rome interviewed him about his mindset for his MITB qualifying match tonight. Goldust wants a chance to qualify for MITB. Angle informs Jinder he has to wrestle Chad Gable tonight and if he puts on a good show, Angle might consider Money In the Bank. Jinder and Singh leave. Then Goldust quoted All About Eve and left without getting his shot to be in the match.

Titus Worldwide was at the front of No Way Jose's conga line as The Coach asked what it would take for JoJo to announce them as Titus World Slide. We go to commercial as Jose dances.
