Multiple incoming rocket sirens went off across the northern parts of the occupied territory on Thursday afternoon, sending Israeli settlers scrambling to bomb shelters.

Israel's Defense Forces later issued a statement, calling the sirens a "false alarm".

Within 30 minutes after the operation "TS'ovy Hell", the press service of the IDF reported that it was a false alarm. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, of launching the attack at the Israeli Golan Heights.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) did not report any injuries on the Israeli side and said that at least some of the missiles were intercepted.

Israel then launched its most intensive air strikes into Syria since the start of the Syrian civil war.

It comes after Hezbollah's leader said 55 missiles were fired from Syrian territory at the Golan Heights. The strike was carried out in response to a barrage of 20 rockets that were fired from Syria at Israeli military outposts. It also blamed the purported rocket fire on Iran.
