After making its global debut at Auto Expo 2018 this year, new Honda Amaze 2018 will be making its India debut today. The prices for the petrol model starts at Rs 5.59 lakh and the prices for the diesel model start at Rs 6.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom (India).
The all-new Honda Amaze would be offered with the 4 variants - E, S, V and VX for Manual transmission and CVT option will offered in S and V variants in both fuel options. It gets 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engines wherein the petrol makes 87 bhp and 100Nm of of power figures whereas the diesel produces 98.6 Bhp and 200 Nm of peak power figures.
The engine has been carried over from the outgoing HondaAmaze and will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. Interestingly though, the diesel CVT - at 79bhp and 160Nm - is less powerful than the diesel manual, that pumps 99bhp and 200Nm.
Speaking of the exterior, the 2018 Honda Amaze gets chrome grille with thicker slat, dual-tone interiors with a piano black console, air-conditioning and driver side auto down window as standard fitments. The first 20,000 buyers of the new Amaze will get to purchase the new vehicle at an introductory price tag.
The new Amaze has been developed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific, which is located in Thailand.

While the petrol version would give 19.5 kmpl (for manual transmission) and 19 kmpl (for AMT), the dieselvariant would give 27.4 kmpl (for MT) and 23.8 kmpl (for CVT), under test conditions, the company said.

The all-new Honda Amaze sedan will sport a revised exterior featuring new design, feel and appearance. The rear gets unique boomerang shaped tail lights. The vehicle will be available in 5 exterior paint jobs - a new Lunar Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic and White Orchid Pearl. The vehicle offers features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, auto climate control and cruise control among the others. Honda also offers paddle shifter for the petrol CVT model. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ISOFIX child safety seat anchor points and reverse parking sensors will be standard across all trims.
Honda has launched the second-generation model of its Amaze compact sedan in India. The top-spec diesel Honda Amaze with all the bells and whistles will cost Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
