President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived his home town, Daura ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congress on May 5.
Buhari said the passion to serve and see real changes in the lives of Nigerians informed his choice to join partisan politics in the first place.
On the decision to support President Buhari's re-election, Abubakar said: "This committee, therefore want to re-affirm our decision as leaders of the zones to pledge our unalloyed and total support for President Muhammadu Buhari administration, and his re-election bid, the Hon".
This, he said, further inspired him to contest elections in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.
"The past year local government election in the state showed that people really love President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Yemi Osinbajo, but the hands in which our party are in the state have made many politicians to quit our party", he said.
The 2019 general election is scheduled between February and March 2019.
He said: "After going to the court so many times to challenge results of elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011, and going up to the Supreme Court, I concluded that ultimately it is God who determines who will win elections, and in 2015 I got here".
The APC ward chairman, Malam Ali Mani said all arrangements have been completed for a smooth congress and urged party members to be law abiding.
Contestants, delegates, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other dignitaries are also on the ground to participate in the process.
