"I endorse the views of Mayawatiji. We must give full respect to the maker of our Constitution, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar".

Underlining BSP supremo allegations on BJP that Constitution is being targeted, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee launched a scathing attack on BJP.

Barring the one victory in Kollegal, where its N Mahesh defeated Congress's AR Krishnamurthy with a margin of almost 19,500 votes, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had zero impact on Karnataka elections, garnering a very few votes in the 16 other constituencies it contested as part of its pre-poll alliance with JD (S).

Even though the alliance has ended up with 118 seats - well over the halfway mark of 111 - the Karnataka governor has invited the rival front led by the BJP to form the government. For those who lost, fight back.

"Congress should not have made speeches in a rally that hampered votes of JD (S)".

Earlier in the day, Yeddyurappa took oath as the 23rd Chief Minister of Karnataka after the Supreme Court early today morning decided not to put a stay on the swearing-in, while conducting a post-midnight hearing, wherein Congress and JD (S) pleaded for the same citing BJP's inadequate strength in the assembly to stake claim at forming the state government.

It was an indirect message by TMC chief to national party Congress to make coalitions with regional parties ahead of upcoming elections. The pro-Dalit party managed to win one seat, its first in the state.

"The BJP government at the Centre is misusing power to form government in Karnataka the way it did in Goa, Manipur and Meghalaya", Mayawati said.

The Governor, however, invited the BJP to form government and has given it 15 days to prove its majority.
