22:44Yemeni Forces Launch Another Missile at Saudi Base Near Najran

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Donald Trump last month to discuss the Iran deal and Iran-backed Yemeni rebels

Yemeni army forces fired a domestically-manufactured ballistic missile at a military base in Saudi Arabia's southern border region of Najran in retaliation for the kingdom's relentless military aggression against the impoverished Arab country.

First reported by The Intercept's Alex Emmons on Friday, the precise details of the deal-which also includes weapons sales to the United Arab Emirates-are not entirely unclear as it is in the preliminary stages, "but it is said to include tens of thousands of precision-guided munitions from Raytheon", the company that helped produce weaponry used in the deadly wedding airstrike last month.

"There will be more salvos until this enemy is deterred, understands the meaning of the Yemeni threat and ceases its crimes", Rashed said.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the West has carried out air strikes against the armed Houthi movement in Yemen since 2015, in a war to restore the internationally recognised government. Saudi officials claim they have intercepted all such attacks, but PressTV quotes a 2017 report by the New York Times that provides evidence that at least one Yemeni missile hit deep within Saudi territory, evading the US-made Patriot missile defense systems deployed by Riyadh.

In a statement, Saudi Arabia said: "The Iranian regime has exploited the benefits of the nuclear agreement to export violence and terrorism to its neighbours".

A court in Yemen's rebel-held capital sentenced three people to death on Saturday, including two for spying for Saudi Arabia, a news agency controlled by the Huthis said.

"The Houthi militants have been defeated in Alwazy'ah district after units of the national army and allied tribal fighters launched overnight offensive and backed by intensified Saudi-led airstrikes", the local army commander said on condition of anonymity.

The Saudi Civil Defence will test a warning siren in Riyadh and other provinces on Thursday.
