In his five-hour interview with ABCs chief anchor, George Stephanopoulos, on the program 20/20, Comey said the president "treats women like theyre pieces of meat", and "lies constantly about matters big and small". Photo via the White House.

Trump also reacted to a teaser clip ABC released about Sunday night's Comey interview.

"I don't think he's medically unfit to be president".

President Donald Trump on Monday continued his effort to discredit James Comey, the morning after a nationally televised interview during which the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director lambasted him.

Trump also repeated his belief that the notes Comey says he took about his interactions with the president are "FAKE!" and that Comey is lying when he says the president asked him for loyalty.

Still, he says it strikes him as unlikely but something that he can't say without high confidence.

In his book, according to leaked excerpts, Comey wrote he might have subconsciously viewed her as the next president.

She says she rose above politics throughout the email investigation, and never discussed it with anyone from the Clinton campaign or the Democratic National Committee.

President Donald Trump is again calling former FBI Director James Comey a "slimeball" ahead of the publication of his new book.

In an interview between Comey and George Stephanopoulos that aired Sunday night on ABC - launching a TV and radio tour for Comey that will include an appearance Tuesday on NPR's Morning Edition - and a CNN town hall next week hosted by Anderson Cooper, the former FBI director said he believed there was "some evidence of obstruction of justice" by the president, based upon a now-infamous meeting he had with Trump in which the Michael Flynn investigation was brought up. Clinton, in part, blames Comeys handling of the email case for her not winning the presidency.

Trump cited Comey's handling of the Clinton e-mail probe in firing the Federal Bureau of Investigation chief in April 2017 - a decision that led to the appointment of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller to investigate allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials during the campaign.
