The Rialto, Venice is the location of Overwatch's latest map and after a slight delay, it is now available on the Public Test Realm for PC players to trial.
We've known for some time that Blizzard planned some kind of overhaul for Hanzo, Overwatch's bow-wielding hero.
Hanzo's Scatter Arrow ability, the bane of anyone trapped in a small room with him, is now gone. Hanzo now has a brand new ability called "Storm Arrows" which will replace his current ability "Scatter Arrows". He also gains the ability to leap horizontally with Lunge (by pressing the jump key/button while in mid-air), and the projectile speed of his basic attacks has been increased from 85 to 100.
With his projectile speed increased, and the cooldown for his Sonic Arrow decreased, Hanzo might just be even more risky than before, even without his pesky scatter arrow.
Overwatch PTR Update Reworks Hanzo; Here Are The Patch Notes
The Overwatch PTR update also tweaks Lucio's wall riding, which is now less likely to be interrupted along a single surface.
The rest of the hero changes are a mixed bag. On top of that, he can now go along corners without having to leave the wall, and his Soundwave no longer requires ammo. Blizzard said this should prevent some frustration when using it (or being hit by it), as "the ability is more accurate to its visual representation". Some are excellent and much needed, like nerfs to the hitboxes of Brigitte's Shield Bash and Genji's Deflect, and a speed reduction for Junkrat's RIP-Tire ultimate.
This PTR update also makes some other bug fixes and tweaks. There has been no word on when the Rialto map will make its way into the normal map pool.
A new patch was released on the PTR today, and some popular heroes are on the receiving end of some serious changes.
