Mumbai Session Court Cancels Bailable Warrant Issued Against Salman Khan

2002 Hit and Run case Mumbai Sessions Court cancels bailable warrant issued against Salman Khan

The trial court had awarded him a five-year jail term. Salman Khan had to go behind the bars for 2 days before he could be released on bail and resume his shooting. After recently being bailed out on the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, the Tiger Zinda Hai star has discovered that a Mumbai court has canceled the bailable warrant against him in the 2002 hit-and-run case. Following up all the sessions and the application, the bailable warrant was finally cancelled today.

What are your thoughts about the 2002 hit-and-run case? The warrant was scrapped after the actor appeared before the court. Last week the court had stayed the warrant in the case, in which the government's appeal against the actor's acquittal is still pending before the Supreme Court.

The court had issued a bailable warrant against him after the actor did not complete the procedure of providing surety (a guarantor for good behaviour) on the past two dates, special public prosecutor Pradeep Gharat reportedly said. Such a huge sigh of relief to Salman Khan. This happened about seven months after the sessions court had held him guilty in the said case.

In the 2002 Hit and Run case, Salman Khan was accused of driving his auto over the people sleeping on pavement and killing one. Other actors associated with the case, namely Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre were acquitted of all charges. Reply in the comment below.
