Jinder Mahal Moves to Raw, Loses US Championship to Jeff Hardy
- Jinder Mahal got moved to Raw as the first move in the Superstar Shakeup, and promptly lost his United States Championship to Jeff Hardy.
Then, in an even more impressive feat, Hardy joined Chris Jericho as the only two wrestlers to win every Grand Slam championship in both formats, as the original format included winning either the now-retired Hardcore and European Championships.
In case you didn't know.
. The win makes Hardy the 24th overall WWE Grand Slam champion and the 12th under the modern format (World, Tag, Intercontinental, and the US belts).Intercontinental champion Seth Rollins would not only give SmackDown Live a secondary title but also provide the show with a star who can help anchor the brand.
The Superstar Shake-Up edition of Monday Night Raw kicked off with Kurt Angle in the ring. After several minutes of back and forth action, Hardy connected with the Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb to score the clean pin and his first U.S. Title. There are a lot of things up in the air in WWE right now which is making the company less predictable.
