Avengers: Infinity War is poised to take over the intergalactic box office, and Marvel is ready to guarantee its dominance with the biggest marketing campaign for any of their superhero flicks to date.
One very popular Soul Stone theory that's been taking Twitter by storm is that the Infinity Stone is within "Him", as in Adam Warlock, who was teased in one of the five end-credit scenes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The painstakingly built film universe out of Disney's Marvel properties called Marvel Cinematic Universe will finally see its biggest moment yet as the Big Bad Thanos finally engages in a battle against Marvel superheroes.
"You would be 99% incorrect then", Gunn replied.
Marvel is set to team up with companies like Coca-Cola, Quicken Loans, and Infiniti for TV spots inspired by (and even featuring) some of the movie's characters and themes.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Danai Gurira, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Wong, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt.
"The Avengers" is the fifth-highest grossing film of all time with $1.52 billion and "Age of Ultron" is the seventh with $1.41 billion.
The film is scheduled for an April 27 release and is expected to kick off a solid summer movie season that includes Solo: A Star Wars Story, Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
