Fortnite's Battle Royale's 50v50 Mode has been delayed according to a statement from Epic Games. This is particularly challenging because the latter mode is based on classes, while the former is not.
Save the World has some new content as well. Quite the opposite, in fact, as Epic Games has continued to provide players with info about upcoming changes and other features. Replay allows for spiffy highlight reels, post-game analyses, and a lot of other potential uses. Mobile and PC players can easily find and join their console counterparts' games. Online features were plagued with issues for roughly 24 hours after the 3.5 patch was released.
Perhaps this higher-than-100 player mode could be tested as a Limited Time diversion to gauge reception among players.
So, they will be releasing a Black Bling gift this weekend that Battle Royale players can get from the store for free and for Save the World players, they're offering a Troll Stash Llama in the loot tab for free.
Next week will bring more free stuff to make up for the issues.
In addition, Battle Royale players will receive a "pack of Battle Stars", which are used to rank up the Battle Pass and earn rewards. These freebies will be handed out during next week's scheduled downtime.
Epic Games has stepped off the deep end with its most recent legendary outfit: the Leviathan. Just a day after the announcement was supposedly tweeted, Fortnite tweeted news about the v3.5 update that's now available. This message does not appear on the timeline for Fortnite's official Twitter account; Epic Games has also not made any announcement about Fortnite's reported termination; and finally, Fortnite's Twitter has been posting about future updates to the game, not about ending it.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably already heard about Fortnite's incredibly long period of emergency downtime that began Wednesday evening and lasted into yesterday afternoon.
