'I believe I can burn': R. Kelly accused of deliberately spreading STD

Not Released

The unnamed woman's attorney, Lee Merritt, said the woman was only 19 when she slept with Kelly sometime last June but just recently ended the relationship in February.

In the lawsuit, the woman names a number of crimes Kelly allegedly conducted-from giving minors illegal drugs and alcohol, unlawful restraint, and "aggravated assault (via the referenced intentional STD infection)". The woman accused Kelly of infecting her in Dallas in December.

Staples' comments about Kelly, are rooted in many accusations that have surfaced about the singer over the years, but have grown more frequent in recent years. Other charges related to alleged images of underaged women recovered from Kelly's Florida home during his arrest were dropped due to a lack of probable cause for a search warrant.

Through her lawyer, the woman further alleges that she was "being groomed to join Kelly's sex cult", allegations of which first arose previous year when parents of two young women living with Kelly told Buzzfeed they believed their daughters were being manipulated, abused, and prevented from contacting family. "He calls them his pets", Jones said.

The latest woman to come forward and accuse R. Kelly of some particularly shady behaviour is raising some shocking allegations against the R&B crooner.

Police have confirmed that they are investigating new sexual misconduct allegations made against R Kelly.

The complaint also states that if the woman had joined Kelly's alleged group, she would have to sign a contract and provide sensitive personal information about her family to serve as "collateral".

The Guardian states he previously denied her claims, with his attorney explaining a year ago: 'Mr Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed at the recent revelations attributed to him. That woman, Jocelyn Savage, later told authorities via FaceTime that she was fine and did not want to speak to her family.

The Savages referred the woman to their attorney, Gerald A. Griggs, who, in turn, connected her with Merritt.

"We felt from the beginning that the reason he's holding the girls is he has some kind of STD that he couldn't cure", said Timothy in an interview.

Merritt is expected to hold a news conference Wednesday at Dallas Police headquarters.
